INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's soccer team has been predicted to finish third in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference this season, as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Panthers out preformed the past two coaches polls by playing for the G-MAC Championship the past two seasons.
Tiffin accumulated 91 points, including five first place votes to earn the top spot in the annual poll. Cedarville was one point behind the Dragons while also garnering five first place votes.
Wesleyan posted a 10-4-7 overall record last season, reaching the G-MAC Title match for the second consecutive season. The Panthers received one first place vote and 73 points to finish third in the poll, one point ahead of Findlay.
The Panthers have a habit of outperforming the preseason coaches poll. In 2024 the Panthers were picked ninth and marched to the G-MAC Title Match while last season they were picked seventh and again reached the Championship Match. Last season the Panthers were 8-3-3 in league play. They did not lose a match at home going 7-0-5 on the year. They also gave Cedarville their first loss of the season in the G-MAC Semifinal. The Panthers eventually fell to Tiffin in double overtime, 2-1in the final match of the season.
Kentucky Wesleyan returns a depth of talent in 2026.
Jhaeem Bryan, a first-team G-MAC selection, anchored a defense that gave up just 24 goals last season. Bryan along with
Cole Greenshields solidifies the Panthers' back line. The KWC defense allowed only 92 shots-on-goal last season.
Jersey Lopez and
Braeden Myers-Curry round out all-conference returners for the Panthers. The duo combined to score nine goals last season with six goals coming from Myers-Curry. Lopez added three goals and dished out eight assists.
Mattie McNally is back for his second season in the purple in white. McNally scored five goals and one assist in 2025.
