Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball team and head coach Nicole Nieman have released their 2025-26 season schedule.
The Panthers will host 16 total home games, with 12 at the historic Owensboro Sportscenter and four at the Woodward Health and Recreation Center inside Jones Gym.
Wesleyan begins with two home non-conferences matchups as part of the Midwest Region Crossover: Missouri S&T on November 14 and Lincoln on November 15.
The Panthers first road game is in Nashville versus former G-MAC foe Trevecca Nazarene on November 19, followed by two more non-conference battles at home against USML on November 21 and Midway on November 26.
Conference play begins in December. KWC heads back on the road to play Ohio Dominican on December 4 and Findlay on December 6 before returning home to host Ashland on December 11 and Tiffin on December 13.
To close out December, the Panthers finalize their non-conference play versus Oakland City on December 18 and IU Southeast on December 31.
G-MAC action gets into full swing in January, with Wesleyan having ten games, five at home and five on the road, in the opening month of 2026.
February slows down slightly with just six games, highlighted by Senior Day against Walsh on February 14 and the season finale at home versus Thomas More on February 28.
The G-MAC tournament is set to run from Tuesday, March 3, through Saturday, March 7.
"We have nine new players and six returners. With eight freshman, three sophomores, and only four upperclassmen, we know that our early schedule is going to be important to building our foundation for who we are going to become," Nieman said. "No matter who we play, we are going to be tested on sticking to what we know and working together to get there. The belief in ourselves will be challenged early and that will be a rewarding time to see how they respond to those moments."
"We are looking forward to getting to know how our team works together, with so many new players and playing so many positions. We are excited by their work in the preseason and really look forward to working with them each day," Nieman continued. "We have really good people, so it always makes working together so much fun. I know they are just as excited to play as we are to see them play."
The Panthers are looking to play an up-tempo brand of basketball this season on both ends of the court and need the support of the Wesleyan faithful to help make it happen.
"If anyone wants to see a fast-paced, exciting brand of basketball, we hope you come check us out this season. We know we will put our best out there by playing together, playing hard, and playing fast," Nieman said. "We will be flying around defensively and offensively and will keep your attention. We are excited to see you in our stands and thank you for doing so!"
