Ashly Salomonsky joins Football staff as Offensive Line Coach

OWENSBORO, KY - The football coaching staff got better on Thursday, as Head Coach Tyrone Young named Ashly Salomonsky as the Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator for the upcoming 2024 campaign. Salomonsky comes to Wesleyan after two years as the Tight Ends/B Backs coach at the University of West Georgia.

"We are extremely excited to have Coach Salomonsky join our Panther Family as our Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach." said Young. "He comes highly recommended by coaches he's previously worked with and I can see why. His passion for the development of our players is what made him stand out the most. He brings a winning mindset and a new level of tenacity to our entire program."

Prior to his stint at West Georgia, Salomonsky helped coach the offensive line at Delta State, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Middle Georgia State, and DI FCS North Alabama. In addition to his offensive line coaching experience, Salomonski has experience coaching tight ends and B Backs, as shown by his stops at West Georgia and American International College. Throughout all of his coaching stints, Salomosnky has been instrumental in coaching multiple all-conference individuals, as well as two All-Americans, Brenden Willieford and Eian Scott at Middle Georgia State, and Nic Melsop at Delta State.

Salomonsky coaches from experience, as he helped lead North Alabama to three consecutive NCAA DII tournament appearances as an offensive lineman from 2013-15. He graduated from North Alabama with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies, and received his Masters in Sport Management from West Georgia this past year.

"In my personal opinion, Coach Sal is a home run hire and I can't wat to see it pay dividends this fall."

The Panthers open their 2024 season at Steele Stadium on Thursday, September 5th vs. Northern Michigan.
