INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Kentucky Wesleyan Women's Soccer Team has been slated to finished in a tie for 12th in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
Reigning G-MAC tournament champions Ashland were projected to finish first and received 11 first-place votes, while last season's regular season champions Cedarville are projected second and received two first-place votes.Â
New Head Coach
Ty Stauffer and the Panthers return key seniors in
Chloe Hinchcliffe,
Bree Owen,
Ashlyn Payton, and
Shelby Taylor. Also coming back are sophomores
Ilana Hall,
Steeley Walker, and
Haidyn Green, who all saw plenty of time last year. With 16 newcomers, including seven transfers and nine freshman, Stauffer and his team will surprise a lot of people this season.
The Panthers open their season at home on Thursday, August 31 against Montevallo. Their first conference game is schedule for Thursday, September 14 at Ursuline.
