Crestview Hills, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team battled to a draw against Thomas More in their season finale Tuesday evening.
The Saints struck first in the 13th minute to grab an early 1-0 lead, but Wesleyan didn't wait long at all to respond.
Steeley Walker took the ball from TMU at midfield and delivered a pass to Marley Collins on the left sideline. The freshman dribbled all the way into the box before shooting a perfect right-leg shot into the corner of the net to tie the score at 1-1 in the 14th minute.
Thomas More was able to notch two more goals in the opening 45 minutes, heading to the break with a 3-1 advantage.
The second half was one of the best halves of the year for the Panthers. In the 56th minute, Ilana Hall connected with Collins for the latter's second score of the game, pulling Wesleyan within one at 3-2.
The Panthers rode that momentum into the 72nd minute before knotting the score. On a corner kick opportunity, Sierra Mullins linked with Mariah Winge for the game-tying goal, helping Wesleyan close the 2025 campaign on a high note.
KWC led the match in shots on goal (12-6) and corner kicks (8-3). 12 of their 13 shots were on target.
