Indianapolis, Ind. - Sophomore sensation
Chloe Hinchcliffe had just about the best opening week one could have last week, and it paid off as she has been named the G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the opening week of the 2021 season.
Hinchcliffe opened the season with the game winning goal in the Panther's first game of the year, a 1-0 victory over Southwest Baptist. Just a few days later, Hinchcliffe saw her sister score a first half goal against Georgetown and decided to one-up her in the second half, scoring two goals in the final 45 minutes of action to help secure the victory. Hinchcliffe also assisted on a
Madisyn Hunt goal in the first half against Georgetown to bring her season point total to seven in just two games.Â
Hinchcliffe leads the G-MAC in total shots (11), shots on goal (5), points (7), goals (3) and game winning goals (2). Nationally, she is tied for first in game winning goals, tied for third in total goals, and tied for fourth in points.
Hinchcliffe and the rest of the Panthers have a big test ahead of them this week as they play host to No. 22 McKendree Wednesday at 3 p.m. on Panther Field.Â
