OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team added some offensive firepower in the 2020 recruiting class. The Panthers saw the signing of four incoming freshmen during the national signing period as announced by Head Coach
Eric Hagan this week.
Ava Nicole Rebarchik is a 6'0 middle from Sussex Wisconsin where she attends Hamilton High School. In her career Rebarchik has earned Second Team All-Conference honors as well as helped Hamilton reach the State Semifinals two consecutive seasons. She has also been productive in the classroom as she earned Academic All-State honors from the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association.
Ava plans to study Pre-Med. She is the daughter of Rory and Kimberly Rebarchik and has three siblings, Braeden, Audra, and Bennett.
"I'm so happy Ava has committed to Kentucky Wesleyan," commented Coach Hagan. "The first thing I saw with Ava is her speed and length. She has a motor that is constantly running. Our program just got a lot better with Ava being part of it. Her quickness in transitioning to offense is so good. We cannot wait to see her in our gym."
Lilly Trump is a 5'10 outside hitter from Union, Kentucky where she attends Larry A. Ryle High School. In her career, Trump has amassed a number of honors including District 33 All-Tournament Team, Ninth Region All-Tournament Team, as well as First Team accolades from Northern Kentucky Coaches Association. Trump comes from a distinguished volleyball family where her parents and grandfather all played either club or college volleyball.
Lilly plans to study Zoology. She is the daughter of Rob Trump and Jessie Schmidt and has five siblings, Lucy, Josh, Molly, Madalyn, and Max.
"We are excited that Lilly chose Wesleyan," added Coach Hagan. "Lilly is a talented player that we can use on either pin. She passes well and is smart with her shots. Lilly was a huge part of the success at Ryle High School. She earned First Team All-Region. Lilly also plays for Tri State Elite VBC. We look forward to her seeing her in our gym very soon."
Hannah Thibideau is a middle blocker from Jeffersonville, Indiana where she completed her prep career at Jefferson High School. Thibideau represented the South during the Indiana Elite volleyball game the last four seasons. She was named to the All-Area Team by the News and Tribune three times. A threat in the classroom as well, Thibideau is also a National Honor Society member. She plans to study Education at Wesleyan.
Hannah is the daughter of Michael and Rachel Thibideau.
"I am excited for Hannah," continued Coach Hagan. "She is athletic and full of energy. Hannah also brings length that we need at the net. We will look at a couple of positions for her. We really like what we see in her versatility."
Allison Stevens strengthens the middle as she just finished her career at Greencastle High School in Greencastle, Indiana. The 6'0 middle earned All-Conference and All-County during her career with the Tigers.
Allison is the daughter of Todd and Marni Stevens, and has one sibling, Mia.
"I am excited that Allison chose Kentucky Wesleyan," said an overjoyed Coach Hagan. "She is a two-sport athlete and is always working to get better. Her athleticism and length will be huge for our program. We have watched her for a while now and feel she will contribute immediately in our program."
