Series History
The Panthers are looking for their first ever win over the Oilers.  The two teams have met twice since the 2017 season when Findlay joined the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers (0-4 overall, 0-1 G-MAC)
Wesleyan is coming off of their best offensive performance of the season but still searching for their first win under first year Head Coach Craig Yeast.  Three of the Panthers four losses this season have been by one possession.  The Panthers beat Lake Erie in nearly every statistical category last week except the one that mattered most.  The offensive unit continues to improve, posting a season-high 473-yards against Lake Erie.

Quarterback Wiley Cain completed only 53.8% of his passes last week, but managed to record 337-yards and three touchdowns.  The true freshman will likely pass 1,000-yards this week as he sits at 974-yards on the season, which ranks third in the conference.  David Florence led receivers with 176-yards last week and now ranks second on the team at 206-yards.  Florence trails De'Ondre Boggs at 239-yards while Peyton Peters is the only other Panther above 100-yards at 134-yards.  Corey Johnson Jr. leads the runs game at 196-yards for one touchdown.  Johnson Jr. ranks sixth in the conference at 49.0-yards per game.

The Panther defense continues to be led by Jalen Humphrey at 25 tackles including 15 solo.  Jalen Wilson and Ramond Jackson are right behind at 20 while Devyn Bledoes, Alijah McGhee, Armand Childs, Dalan Cofer, RJ Wilson, Trevor Dyer and Shamar Foster are all in double digits.  Cofer and Oscar Elliott pace the team with two sacks each while Wilson and Childs have recorded two interceptions a piece.

Findlay Oilers (2-2 overall, 1-1 G-MAC)
The Oilers are coming off their largest win of the season with a 75-28 victory over Alderson Broaddus last week.  The 75 points sets a conference record for most points in a game as three players rushed for over 100-yards for the first time in program history.

Findlay's offense picked up where they left off after last season and have recorded 18 touchdowns so far this year.  The Oilers went toe-to-toe in week one with defending national runner-up Ferris State, losing by only one point.  Junior quarterback Matt Winzeler ranks fourth in the conference at 910-yards on the season.  Winzeler's top target has been Ruben Flowers who has 29 catches for 376-yards, ranking third in the G-MAC.  Brian Benson has been the top Oiler on the ground, recording 515-yards on the year despite a season-worst 28-yards last week.

The defensive unit has four Oilers with at least 20 tackles with Jack Trombetti leading the way at 28 tackles.  Isaac Miles and Richard Sheler sit at 26 while Eriq Fadahunsi has 20.  Despite averaging 74 tackles per game, the Oilers do not have anyone ranked in the Top 10 in the conference.
