OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College Department of Athletics is pleased to celebrate its Athletic Hall of Fame Team of Distinction, the 1973 men's basketball team.

The Panthers brought home the schools fourth National Championship that season after going 19-6 in the regular season and a perfect 5-0 in post season play while winning their last nine games of the year.
Wesleyan defeated Tennessee State 78-76 in overtime at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, Ind. Head Coach Bob Jones' squad was not ranked all year long.
Mike Williams was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Championship and the Great Lakes Region Championship while Roger Zornes earned a spot on the All-NCAA Championship Team.

James Greene, Jyronna Ralston and Steve Walker also earned post season accolades, being named to the All-NCAA Great Lakes Region Championship Team.
