Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's tennis teams fell to Ashland on Friday inside Centre Court.
After being defeated in doubles, the men were able to claim victory on two singles courts. Jose Ferrandis' defeated Ashland's top singles player on Court 1 6-1, 6-1 before Kade Eber earned a hard-fought 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 triumph on Court 5.
The women's tennis team did not find as much success but continued to show improvement from the beginning of the year. Ella Brown earned three game wins on Court 4 and Anna Bongardt earned three game wins on Court 2 to lead Wesleyan's effort.
The Panthers return to the court for their season finale tomorrow, Saturday, April 18th at Moreland Park for Senior Day. Seniors will be celebrated at 1:45 PM and the match will begin shortly after.
The following six seniors are to be honored pre-match tomorrow: Ella Brown, Baylie McCreary, Connor Adams, Marc Stoever, Nick Stoever, and Adryan Taylor.
