OWENSBORO, Ky. – Below is your preview of Wesleyan Athletics for the week of January 12-18.
Basketball
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's basketball teams will travel for two doubleheaders this week. First, the Panthers will head to Canton, Ohio, to take on the Malone Pioneers at 4:30/6:30 PM on Thursday, January 15th. The Panthers will then travel to North Canton, Ohio, to battle the Walsh Cavaliers at 12:00/2:15 PM on Saturday, January 17th.
The Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball team is coming off a 2-1 week, defeating Lake Erie and Hillsdale before falling to Northwood. Myah Montgomery scored 14+ points in both wins and Emma Bruwer tallied a career-high 26 points in the latter game.
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's basketball team is also coming off a 2-1 week, falling to Lake Erie on the road before defeating Hillsdale and Northwood at home. Jorge Sanchez-Ramos tallied a career-high 12 assists in Thursday's win and Fatih Huyuk delivered a strong stretch with two 20+ point performances in the first two games and a double-double in the latter.
