Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf program was named a 2024-25 Platform Golf Team Academic Award recipient on Tuesday, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Even more impressively, the men's golf program became just one of 19 in Division II to receive Presidents' Special Recognition for having a team GPA of at least 3.5.
"Like on the golf course, we try to emphasize that each individual can control effort. Same to be said in the classroom. These young men should be proud of the effort they put into their respective areas of study," head coach Ken Badylak said. "Since 2017-18, Wesleyan has earned academic distinction from the Golf Coaches Association of America. The effort our players have put in over the years has now become an expectation for our program."
G-MAC foe Findlay was named the Academic National Champion for Division II and joined the Panthers as the only two G-MAC institutions earning recognition.
