Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's golf programs and head coach Ken Badylak have released their fall schedule for the 2025 campaign.
The women's golf season begins at the Champions of Women's Golf event hosted by G-MAC foe Ohio Dominican in Columbus, Ohio, from September 13-14. Next, the Panthers travel to the Lady Bulldog Fall Invitational in Big Rapids, Michigan, hosted by Ferris State from September 27-28.
Wesleyan then plays host for the Bill Crabtree Invitational at The Pearl Club here in Owensboro, Kentucky, from October 5-6.
The KWC women next head to Augusta, Michigan, for the Panthers Invitational hosted by Davenport from October 11-12 before closing out the fall at the Bearcat Invitational hosted by McKendree in Fairview Heights, Illinois, from October 20-21.
"As I head into my senior year, I'm especially looking forward to our home event at The Pearl Club. It's always a great atmosphere with strong support from KWC and the community, and it's exciting to compete on a course we know and love," incoming senior Avery Shacklette said. "This season, I'm looking forward to building strong team chemistry and creating an encouraging environment where we push each other to play our best and shoot respectable scores."
"Our schedule is student-athlete friendly and looks different from last season. The ultimate goal is to get better every time we put a peg in the ground," Badylak said. "We will get plenty of head-to-heads against the East Region and hopefully see the progress of our hard work. Our first event is a player favorite. Ohio Dominican does a great job of celebrating women's golf. It is always a strong, full field. On the other side, we will see how far we have come by wrapping up the fall at McKendree. Far Oaks is a scoreable course and a great venue to end the first half of the season on a high note."
The men's golf team opens its fall season at the Malone-Glenmoor Invitational hosted by G-MAC foe Malone in Canton, Ohio, from September 8-9. Following that, Wesleyan heads to the Midwest Regional event in Peru, Indiana, from September 29-30.
The men then join the women for two events, traveling to the Panther Invitational hosted by Davenport from October 11-12 and the Bearcat Invitational hosted by McKendree from October 20-21.
Finally, the Panther men host their event at The Pearl Club to finalize their fall: the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational from October 25-26.
"I'm definitely looking forward to the Regional preview, as the field is very competitive and we'll be able to go head-to-head with some of the best teams in our region," incoming junior Thomas Scott said. "I'm anticipating a solid step forward from our young team. I think all of our returners' games are really coming into form, and we have some talented freshmen coming in to back that up. I also think this season is a great opportunity for us to turn some heads, as I believe we will be flying a little under the radar."
"There is a lot of parody in the Midwest Region. Details will matter because our head-to-head record will be determined by one to three shots each week," Badylak said. "We will see some great competition right out of the gate at Malone-Glenmoor and the Midwest Regional. Plus, getting to play places like Glenmoor and Rock Hollow will emphasize the teams that are able to post good scores on hard golf courses. A couple of good finishes there can carry a team into the spring with a good chance at an at-large selection."
