Owensboro, Ky. – Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer and head coach Ty Stauffer have released the schedule for the 2025 season.
In Stauffer's second year of his second stint as head coach, the Panthers notched a three-win improvement from 2023 to 2024 and are looking to build on that momentum in 2025.
Wesleyan opens the season with two road exhibitions versus in-state institutions, beginning with Owensboro rival Brescia on August 28 followed by Centre on August 31.
The Panthers' home slate starts with two non-conference games against West Alabama on September 4 and Illinois-Springfield on September 5. Wesleyan then travels to battle former G-MAC foe Trevecca Nazarene on September 11 before returning home to host Alabama-Huntsville on September 14.
The conference schedule opens with two road matches: Lake Erie on September 18 and Findlay on September 20. To close out September, KWC takes on Thomas More on September 24 and Ashland on September 27, both at Panther Field.
The Panthers begin October with four of their first five matches on the road: Malone on October 2, Ohio Dominican on October 4, Tiffin on October 16, and Walsh on October 18.
Wedged in between those road pairings is Senior Day on October 9 versus Ursuline.
Wesleyan next rattles off four consecutive home matches: Findlay on October 23, Northwood on October 25, Cedarville on October 29, and Ohio Dominican on November 1.
The Panthers close out the regular season in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, taking on Thomas More on November 4.
"We are excited for the upcoming season," Stauffer said. "In addition to a challenging conference schedule, we have the opportunity to compete against some great teams from the Gulf South Conference and the Great Lakes Valley Conference."
"With 13 new players coming to campus, we hope to build on some of the success we experienced last season," Stauffer said. "In addition to being talented players, they are great students. They will continue the tradition of women's soccer players being leaders within the Kentucky Wesleyan campus community."
The Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship will run from November 8-15. The top six teams will make the tournament, with quarterfinals being played at the higher seed's host site followed by the semifinals and championship on the campus of the No. 1 seed.
