Florence, Ind. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team finalized their season at the Great Midwest Women's Golf Championship at Belterra Golf Club from April 24-25.
The Panthers finished in 10th, shooting a 1054 (+202, 343-350-361) across the three rounds.
Senior Megan Bryan led the charge for Wesleyan, coming in at 34th within the 49-player field with a final tally of 252 (+39, 80-89-83) to close out her Panthers career.
Junior Avery Shacklette was next on the leaderboard, recording a 265 (+52, 90-91-84) and finishing in 39th after her career-best performance in the Panthers' final regular season event.
Senior Samantha DeSpain and freshman Autumn Osborne rounded out the Wesleyan effort, with the latter totaling a 268 (+55, 86-86-96) to finalize her Panthers career and the latter notching a 269 (87-84-98) to put a stamp on her first year in the program.
"I am again proud of our seniors. They have given a lot to the program," head coach Ken Badylak said. "They have lived by the Wesleyan Way. They are great students, they support one another, they compete with love and integrity. They are great representatives of Kentucky Wesleyan."
No. 5-ranked Findlay ran away with the team title, shooting an 860 (+8) while the next closest team came in 25 strokes behind.
Findlay's Mary Kelly Mulcahy, ranked No. 3, impressed with a score of 205 to take home the individual title by eight strokes.
