Perry Park, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team finished 6th among the 10-team field in the Klash in Kentucky event from Saturday, March 29 through Sunday, March 30.
The Panthers had a total stroke tally of 677 (+101), with a 346 (+58) in Round 1 and a 331 (+43) in Round 2.
Individually, Megan Bryan led the way with a 163 (+19, 80-83) and finished 16th in the 54-player field.
Ansley Adams and Audrey Koetter weren't far behind her, with the former coming in T-24th with a 168 (+24, 87-81) and the latter finishing T-28th with a 172 (+28, 89-83).
Autumn Osborne completed her day in 39th with a 179 (+35, 90-89) and Aylin Hatch showed consistency with a 184 (+40, 92-92), finishing T-43rd.
"One of the better weeks for us," head coach Ken Badylak said. "I was happy we improved today. We navigated the final four holes well, which hurt us yesterday. Hopefully this gives us some momentum for St. Louis in a couple of weeks."
#21-ranked Pikeville took home the victory as a team, shooting a 627 (+51). Pikeville's Tayla Howroyd, ranked #100, won the individual crown by one stroke with a 154 (+10).
Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf is back on the course in a couple weeks, set to head to the UMSL Spring Invitational in St. Louis, Missouri from April 13-14.
