Richmond, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team completed play at the Findlay Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Boone's Trace National Golf Club.
As a team, the Panthers finished 13th among the 14-team field, carding a 332-341-339 across the three rounds (1012, +148 overall).
Many Panthers had some of their best scores of the year, including leader of the pack Megan Bryan. The senior turned in a 246 (79-86-81), finishing 52nd among the 79-player field, and had a stretch where she made par or better for 11 holes in a row.
Ansley Adams came in next for Wesleyan with a 255 (84-87-84), coming in T-62nd, and Autumn Osborne wasn't far behind her with a 257 (94-80-83) to slot in at T-65th.
Samantha DeSpain and Avery Shacklette rounded out the Panthers effort, with the former totaling a 260 (81-88-91, 69th) and the latter carding a 271 (88-91-92, 72nd).
The #1 ranked women's golf team in Division II, Anderson University, took home the team victory by seven strokes with a score of three-under par.
Anderson's Kennedy McGaha, who is ranked #17 individually, triumphed as the individual winner with a score of 12-under par.
The Panthers are back on the course in a couple weeks at the Klash in Kentucky event in Carrollton, Kentucky. The event is set to run from Saturday, March 29 through Sunday, March 30.
