Ashland, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team has completed play at the Ashland Eagle Invitational at Ashland Golf Club.
The intended two-round event ended up just being one round due to weather conditions, as Wesleyan finished 9th with a score of 347 (+59).
Megan Bryan led the way for the Panthers, finishing in the top 20 of the 84-player field with a 10-over score of 82.
Audrey Koetter came in at T-29th with a 13-over score of 85, while Avery Shacklette turned in a 17-over 89 to finish T-45th.
Javen Campbell and Samantha DeSpain were neck and neck, with the former totaling a 19-over 91 (T-53rd) and the latter tallying a 20-over 92 (T-58th). Lastly, Autumn Osborne completed the day with a 24-over 96 to finish 66th.
Glenville State University took home first place as a team, carding a +20 (308). LeAnn Harker came in first place individually, shooting a 3-over 75 for host Ashland.
The Panthers get some time off before heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the Davenport Panthers Invitational. The 36-hole, two-day event is set to get underway on October 12.
