Canton, Ohio – In the opening event of the 2024 season, the Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf team finished seventh in a 13-team field as part of the Malone-Glenmoor Fall Invitational.
The Panthers had a score of +69 as a team across the three rounds that occurred throughout Monday and Tuesday.
Lewis took home the overall victory, finishing with a score of +24. Catawba and Hillsdale rounded out the top three with scores of +26 and +27, respectively.
Individually, Jonah Graham led the way for Wesleyan with a score of +9, including an even-par final round that vaulted him into the top 20 at 16th place out of 78 total golfers.
Evan Beery fired a +16 to finish T-26th while Braydon Bond carded a +21 to finish T-35th. To round out the Wesleyan effort, both Jeremiah Foster and Harrison Sallee had scores of +23 to tie in 41st and Luke Garrett totaled a +41 to come in at 65th.
Catawba's Paul Esnault was one of just two golfers to finish under-par, winning the event by five strokes with a -8 tally.
The Panthers have a few weeks off before heading to the Midwest Regional hosted by Missouri - St. Louis in St. Joseph's, Missouri, with the event slated for September 30th-October 1st.
