Owensboro, Ky. – As announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon, senior running back Brandon Mackey has been named to the G-MAC All-Conference First Team for his record-breaking play throughout the 2024 season.
Mackey set the Kentucky Wesleyan single-season rushing yards record with 990 rushing yards on 191 attempts, a staggering 5.18 yards per rush.
The McRae, Georgia native also amassed 204 receiving yards on 25 catches, finishing with 1194 total yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns this season.
Mackey set the Kentucky Wesleyan single-game rushing record earlier in the year, rumbling for 276 yards and two touchdowns vs. Lake Erie on his way to being named G-MAC Football Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Additionally, Mackey had five games of over 100 yards from scrimmage and scored a touchdown in four straight games at one point in the season.
