Augusta, Mich. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team finished 11th out of 13 teams at the Davenport University Panther Invitational from October 12-13.
Wesleyan carded a 695 in the 36-hole event, improving by 14 strokes from the first round to the second round (354-341).
Megan Bryan tied for 35th among the 73 student-athletes that participated, shooting a 160 and showing her consistency with a score of 80 in both rounds.
Autumn Osborne came in T-59th with a 177, improving by 11 strokes from the first to the second round (94-83). Audrey Koetter was right behind her with a 179 that put her 61st, showing similar improvement as the junior bettered her score by eight strokes (93-86).
To round out the Panther effort, Ansley Adams turned in a 183 (88-95) to finish 65th and Javen Campbell shot a 185 (93-92) to come in 67th.
Tiffin's Lisa Marie Schumacher came in first place individually with a 137, winning by seven strokes.
Saginaw Valley State took home first place as a team, carding a 591 to win by nine strokes.
Wesleyan now looks ahead to the Bearcat Dual Gender, in which both the women's and men's golf teams will be participating. The event is set to run from October 21-22 in Lebanon, Illinois.
