Jenna Burns and
Sidney Reagor each scored points for the Panthers during last weekend's G-MAC Championships, helping them take down Lake Erie, Trevecca Nazarene, and Ohio Dominican.
Hailey Miller was the highest placing female for Wesleyan, taking 5th in the high jump with a mark of 1.60m (5-3).
Karyn Williams came through in the triple jump with a leap of 10.60m (34-9.50) to take 7th. After a dramatic finish in her prelim,
Jenna Burns ran a time of 59.83 in the final to take 8th.
Sidney Reagor came through with a huge 18-second PR in the 3000m Steeplechase to take finish in 8th with a time of 12:08.37.
Two Panthers finished just off the podium, as
Kate Keller and
Karlee Hoffman each finished 9th in their respective events. Keller set a huge 4-second personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:22.22, just .19 off qualifying for the final. Not to be outdone,
Karlee Hoffman set a personal best of 37:56.09 in the 10,000m to finish just out of scoring contention.
Rae Sloane set 6 new personal bests in the heptathalon to finish in 11th with a total score of 3012, the first time a KWC athlete has ever broken the 3000 point barrier.
