LOCKPORT, IL - The Kentucky Wesleyan Women's Bowling team finished 7th out of 13 teams this past weekend at the Lewis Flyers Classic in Lockport, Illinois. Originally seeded ninth, KWC advanced through bracket play and defeated the Aurora Spartans to take seventh.

Corynne Bean shined for the Panthers, placing 7th overall with a five-game average of 202.8. She closed out her 5th game with a team-high score of 222 to make her pin total 1,014 and jump into that 7th spot. Always strong and steady, Alyssa Zombirt took 15th with a five-game average of 191.6. She knocked down a total of 958 pins and notched a high of 216 in her 4th game.Lauren Meagher used a 212 opening round to start of strong and bowl her way into the 24th spot. She knocked down 908 pins for a five-game average of 181.6.

Samantha Bugno knocked down 622 pins in four games for an average of 155.5. Daylin Tolgo and Emma Workman each bowled two games and averaged scores of 155.5 and 144.5 respectively. Whitney Goodman bowled a 149 in her lone game and Miranda Cain notched home a 147 to close things out for the Panthers. 

Wesleyan will be back in action next weekend when they head to Jonesboro, Arkansas for the Midwinter Invitational.
