FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL - The women's bowling team took part in their first event of the year over the weekend, taking 10th out of 11 teams at the Bearcat Open.
In the Baker matches the Panthers took down Newman (945-868) and Quincy (964-812) to take 10th overall.
On the individual side,
Daylin Tolgo led the way, taking seventh out of 70 bowlers with a six-game average of 195.50. Her third game score of 284 was the highest in the entire tournament. Coming off a strong season last year,
Corynne Bean took 29th with a six-game average of 178.50.
Miranda Cain notched a five-game average of 185.20, while
Lauren Meagher had a four-game average of 169.75.
Samantha Bugno tallied a four-game average of 158.25 and
Alysa Conley had a three-game average of 161.33.
Katelyn Payne and
Emma Workman bowled games of 149 and 136.
The women compete next weekend at the Valpo Bowling Classic held in Dyer, Indiana. It starts on Friday, Oct. 28 and goes until Sunday, Oct. 30.
