DYER, IN - The Kentucky Wesleyan Women's Bowling team showed out last weekend at the Valpo Bowling Classic, beating multiple ranked teams en-route to a seventh place finish.
Wesleyan used wins against a ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater and Lewis on day two to propel them to a solid 9-4 overall record. In 70 total games the Panthers knocked over a total of 12,644 pins, good for a 180.6 average.
Individually,
Corynne Bean made the All-Tournament team by placing fourth out of 109 competitors with a total of 1,012 pins, good for a 202 average. Her high game of 244 was tops for any Panther. She becomes just the fourth womean in program history to make an all-tournament team.
Alysa Conley showed her stuff over the weekend, taking 10th with a 199 average and 995 total pins. She was just 13 pins shy of all-tournament team and had a high game of 221.
Samantha Bugno rounded out the top-15 with a five-game total of 966, good for a 193.20 average.
Daylin Tolgo used a high game of 182 to finish in 49th with a five-game average of 165.60.
Lauren Meagher bowled in four games and finished with an average of 181.25, including a high game of 217.
Emma Workman competed in one game and bowled a repectable 172.
The Panthers will look to ride their success into this weekend when they travel ot Richmond, Ky. for the Bulldog Bash.
