COLUMBUS, OH - After an opening day that saw the Panthers struggle to hit greens, KWC was on fire throughout day two. Every individual either matched or scored better than the day before, and as a team Wesleyan shot 13 strokes better to jump a spot and finish ninth in the Champions of Women's Golf. 

Day one saw the team score a 352 (+72) with Samantha DeSpain leading the way with a 15-over 85. Freshman Megan Bryan followed with an 87 (+17), Maddie Zimmerman shot an 88 (+18), and Erin Sexsmith closed out the scoring with a 92 (+22). 

On day two the Panthers tied for sixth and shot a team score of 339 (+59). Megan Bryan improved by six strokes and shot a team low 81 (+11). Maddie Zimmerman came in just a few strokes behind at an 84 (+14), while Samantha DeSpain equaled her day one total with an 85 (+15). Erin Sexsmith improved by three strokes and shot an 89 (+19). 

Megan Bryan finished in a tie for 28th, Samantha DeSpain tied for 32nd, Maddie Zimmerman ended in a three-way tie for 37th, and Erin Sexsmith tied for 51st. 

The Panthers will have a month before their next tournament, where they head to Lebanon, IL for the Bearcat Dual hosted by McKendree University. It takes place on October 18-19 at Far Oaks Golf Course.
