INDIANAPOLIS, IN - For the second straight year, a record nine Panthers were named to the Great Midwest All-Conference Team.
Jalen Humphrey and
KiShawn Walker were each first-team selections,
David Florence,
Devyn Bledsoe, and
Shedrick Kirk each made second-team, and
Christian Ealey,
Charles Tooley,
Chauncey Greer, and
Ramond Jackson all notched third-team honors.
Jalen Humphrey was the heart and sole of the Panther's stout defense this year. He led the Panthers with 102 tackles, including 11 TFL for 50 yards and 4.5 sacks. He set a career high with 15 tackles against Tiffin.
KiShawn Walker was a menace on defense this year, tying for the national lead with 17 pass breakups and notching five interceptions. He also managed 39 total tackles as well as two TFL.
David Florence led KWC in almost all receiving categories, including receptions (57), total receiving yards (672), and receiving touchdowns (8).
Devyn Bledsoe was a man on a mission this season, closing out year with 13 tackles against Ashland to bring his season total to 72. He was second on the team with 10.5 TFL and notched two sacks.
Shedrick Kirk was scary good all season long, forcing quarterbacks to rarely throw at him. When they did it was a bad idea as he had five interceptions and seven pass breakups on the season, all to go along with 36 tackles.
Christian Ealey and
Charles Tooley each started and played in every game on the offensive line for the Panthers this season, allowing Panther quarterbacks to throw for 2,796 yards and rush for 942.
Chauncey Greer tallied 655 receiving yards and five touchdowns on the season, including a 106 yard, two touchdown performance against William Jewell on Homecoming.
Ramond Jackson was second on the team in total tackles (77) and notched eight TFL, one sack, one interception, and two fumble recoveries, including a 26 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown against Tiffin.
