CASEYVILLE, IL - The KWC Women's Golf Team played some of their best golf of the season these last few days, including shooting a season best round of 338 (+50) in their final round of the tournament.
Junior
Maddie Zimmerman led the Panthers with scores of 85-80-83 to finish in 27th with a three-round score of 248 (+32).
Megan Bryan improved her score every day (93-82-80) and knocked in a team high three birdies in her final round to come in with a 255 (+39) to finish tied for 31st. Just like Bryan,
Erin Sexsmith also improved her score every round (89-86-84) to finish in 36th with a 259 (+43).
Samantha DeSpain closed out the scoring (93-95-91) with a 279 (+63) to finish in 42nd.
In their first 54-hole tournament of the season, the Panthers finished finished with a team score of 1,077 (+177) to finish in eighth place. Missouri-St. Louis won the tournament with a team score of 884 (+20).
Wesleyan will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 30 - Sunday, Oct. 31 when they play at the Pearl Club in the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.
