FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's golf team finished 10^th at the Bearcat Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Panthers shot three solid rounds, including another season low.
 
Unphased by the cold and windy conditions at the start of the event the Panthers produced their fourth consecutive season low. An opening round of 329 placed Wesleyan in a tie for eighth out of 11 teams. Samantha Yake led the charge with a career low of eight-over par 80. Erin Sexsmith shot a round of 82 while Kaelen Rice carded a round of 83. Maddie Zimmerman opened the day with a round of 84. Scout Pope recorded a round of 86.  
 
The second half of the day saw the Panthers post a round 345. The second round finished just before sunset. Sexsmith and Zimmerman each shot second rounds of 85.
 
Temperature dropped on Tuesday morning as wind speed picked-up. Sexsmith finished with a round of 87 to record a 54-hole total of 254 to place 34^th overall. Rice also closed with a final round of 87, finishing three-rounds in 256 strokes to place 37^th.
 
Maddie Zimmerman continued he consistent place to shoot 88 in her final round. Her 257 total placed 38^th overall. Yake carded rounds of 80-89-89 to finish 39^th. Scout Pope finished 46^th after rounds of 86-93-91.
 
Lindenwood University shot rounds of 305-298-319 to win by 10 shots over the tournament host, McKendree. The Bearcats' own Natasha Ainsley-Thomas won medalist honors after totaling a 54-hole total of one over par, 74-69-74.
 
The Panthers will travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico on Monday to play in the Illinois Springfield Island Getaway. The 36-hole event will be contested at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort.
