OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's tennis teams were both defeated in their weekend matches versus Tiffin and Findlay.
In their first match on Friday, the men battled the 20th-ranked Dragons while the women faced off against a Tiffin team that had been ranked multiple times this season.
Jose Ferrandis and Adryan Taylor teamed up for a doubles win, but the Dragons clinched the doubles point and won all seven singles courts. Ferrandis put up an impressive fight, falling 6-4, 6-3.
Anna Bongardt and Sara Osorio each earned a game win in their singles matches, but Tiffin ultimately won all seven points in that match as well.
Against the Oilers on Saturday, both teams fell to ranked Oilers squads. The Wesleyan men continued to put up a fight on several singles courts but fell 7-0 to #47 Findlay.
The KWC women took on #10 Findlay and also fell 7-0. Bongardt and Osorio both tallied two game wins in their singles matches.
The Kentucky Wesleyan tennis teams next head on their Michigan road trip as G-MAC play continues. The two teams will battle Hillsdale on Friday, April 10th, before facing off against Northwood on Saturday, April 11th.
