INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Evan Oakley has been named the G-MAC South Division Pitcher of the Week for the third consecutive voting cycle.
Oakley pitched 8.0 innings and tallied 10 strikeouts while allowing just one run in the Panthers 2-1 series-opening victory over Purdue Northwest.
The Gilbertville, Kentucky, native has recorded three consecutive starts with at least 6.0 innings pitched and one or less runs allowed.
On the season, Oakley holds a 2-0 record and 1.75 ERA in 25.2 innings pitched with 33 strikeouts and only two extra-base hits allowed.
Across the Great Midwest, the senior is first in strikeouts, tied-first in wins, second in ERA, and second in innings pitched.
Oakley and the Panthers are set to host a four-game set this weekend versus Fairmont State at Panther Park. The ace will take the mound in game one at 12:00 PM live on FloCollege.
