LEMONT, Ill. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf team earned a top ten finish this week, placing eighth out of 15 teams after two days of competition at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate at Cog Hill Golf Course hosted by Lewis University. The Panthers finished at +64 after three rounds, with Wille Carlsson taking the top honor within the team, tied for 28th at 15 over par out of a field of 88.

Carlsson started well on Monday alongside teammate Jonathan Kaminski as they both led the Panthers through round one at five over. Carlsson closed out Monday with three birdies at +4, while Tanner Kight shot his best round at +2, which also included three birdies. Kight finished the tournament in second for the Panthers, tied for 32nd overall at +16. Some other Panther finishes include Ryan Loiars, who finished with the most pars on the team, tied for 45th at +20; Thomas Scott, tied for 52nd at +22; Kaminski, tied for 59th at +24; and Kolby Crook, tied for 80th at +35.

The Panthers will take a week off before returning to competition at the McKendree Bearcat Intercollegiate at Far Oaks Golf Course in Lebanon, Illinois. Play will begin on Monday, October 19th, and conclude on Tuesday, October 20th.
