LEBANON, Ill. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf team finished eighth after two days of competition at the Bearcat Dual Gender at Far Oaks Golf Course hosted by McKendree University. The Panthers finished at +28 after three rounds, with
Cohen Jackson taking the top honor within the team, tied for 16th at three over par out of a field of 56.
Jackson produced a team-high nine birdies during the competition, claiming four in his final round on Tuesday. Four bogeys on Monday, unfortunately, kept Jackson on the plus side of the score, but nevertheless, the junior claims his best finish of the fall season.
Jonathan Kaminski finished just behind Jackson, tied for 20th. The junior hit a team-best two eagles and added six birdies, two in each round, for a +5 score.
Some other Panther finishes include
Wille Carlsson, who finished with an eagle and five birdies, in 29th at +8;
Tanner Kight finished tied for 41st at +14;
Kyle Hodoval finished tied for 43rd at +16;
Ryan Loiars placed 46th at +18, and
Andrew Noble finished tied for 47th at +20.
The Panthers will conclude the fall season this weekend as they host the annual Bill Crabtree Invitational October 24-25 at the Pearl Club in Owensboro.
