Canton, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team was defeated 4-0 by Malone Thursday afternoon at Pioneer Park.
Malone (3-4-1, 2-3-0 G-MAC) scored twice in the first 24 minutes of the match, and although that would be all the Pioneers would need, the home team managed to add two additional second half goals to leave no doubt.
Wesleyan (0-8-1, 0-5-0 G-MAC) continued their recent trend of tallying an impressive number of shots, racking up 16 in the match, including seven on goal.
Steeley Walker led the effort with four shots and one on goal. Haley Osborne, Sierra Mullins, Anna Klueh, and Imarie Carter each had two total shots with one on goal, and both Haylie Panter and Ilana Hall recorded a shot on goal.
The Panthers look to flip the page on Saturday, October 4, as Wesleyan takes on Ohio Dominican in Columbus, Ohio. Kickoff is set for 4:30 PM and the match will be streamed live on FloCollege.
