Tiffin, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team battled to a scoreless tie against Tiffin Thursday afternoon.
The Dragons, who received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll, had full control when it came to opportunities in the match. The home team led in shots (19-4), shots on goal (6-1), and corner kicks (9-1).
Fortunately for the Panthers (4-2-6), goalkeeper Iver Sjavag came to play. The junior recorded five saves and played the full 90 minutes, helping keep Tiffin (7-2-2) off the board.
Wesleyan's lone shot on goal came from Haakon Torvbraaten, who also accounted for two of their six shots. Jersey Lopez had the other two shots on the day.
Wesleyan next heads to North Canton, Ohio, for a matchup against the Walsh Cavaliers on Saturday, October 18. Kickoff is set for 2:30 PM and the match will be streamed live on FloCollege.
