Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team earned a 3-0 shutout victory over Tiffin on Thursday night at Panther Field, Wesleyan's first G-MAC win of 2024.
The Panthers got on the board quick, with Haley Osborne scoring her second goal of the season off an assist by Madison Ward in the 15th minute.
That was the only score of the first half as Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Panthers again wasted no time putting one in the net. Haylie Panter launched a shot from right outside the box to double the Wesleyan lead at 2-0 and tally her first goal of the season in the 53rd minute.
With the match all but wrapped up, the Panthers kept their foot on the gas. Osborne delivered a perfect pass to Emily Goff on the wing, and she did the rest of the work with a left leg goal in the 89th minute, her second score this season.
Kassidy Elkin was terrific in goal, recording a 90-minute shutout of the Dragons with a season-high nine saves.
With the win, Wesleyan earns their first victory over Tiffin since 2019 and moves to 2-4 (1-1 G-MAC) this season.
The Panthers are back in action on Saturday, September 28 for a matchup with Ursuline. Kickoff is set for 12 PM at Panther Field.
