Findlay, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team fell 5-0 to Findlay on Wednesday afternoon at DeHaven Field.
The Panthers are now 3-7-0 (2-4-0 G-MAC) with the loss, while the Oilers improve to 3-4-1 (3-3-0 G-MAC).
The match was a defensive battle for the entire first half, as both teams maintained clean sheets after 45 minutes.
Coming out of the break, it was all Oilers. The home team knocked in 48th, 61st, 68th, 77th, and 80th-minute goals on their way to the shutout victory.
The Panthers could only notch four shots in the match, with two of those coming on goal. Findlay had the advantage in shots (28 to 4), shots on goal (13 to 2), and corner kicks (7 to 0).
On a positive note for Wesleyan, 25 different players earned valuable minutes in the match.
After three games on the road, the Panthers are finally back home on Saturday, October 12 for a matchup vs. the Malone Pioneers. Kickoff is set for 11 AM at Panther Field.
