Cedarville, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team earned a point in the G-MAC standings after tying the Cedarville Yellow Jackets by the score of 0-0 on Thursday afternoon at Yellow Jacket Field.
With the draw, Wesleyan moves to 6-2-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the G-MAC, while Cedarville moves to 4-5-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the G-MAC.
Although Cedarville won the first 19 matches between the two schools, the Panthers have won two of the last four and worked ties in the other two contests, including this one.
Both teams struggled to tally shots on goal the entire match, as the Panthers finished with three and the Yellow Jackets managed just one.
Cole Greenshields recorded two shots on goal, keeping the pressure on the net for Wesleyan, and Jersey Lopez did the same with four shots and one shot on goal.
After three consecutive matches on the road, the Panthers are finally back home this Saturday, October 12, for a battle vs. Findlay. The two teams squared off earlier in the season, with Wesleyan coming out on top 2-0. Kickoff for Saturday's contest is set for 1:30 PM at Panther Field.
