OWENSBORO, KY - The Cedarville Yellow Jackets made the most of their chances on Wednesday evening, taking down Kentucky Wesleyan 7-0.
Cedarville improves to 7-2 (4-1 G-MAC) while Wesleyan drops to 0-7 (0-5 G-MAC).Â
Tonight was a game where the final score in no way reflects how competitive the game really was. Wesleyan came out and put the pressure on the Yellow Jackets, getting off five shots in the first ten minutes of the game. Despite those shots, Cedarville was able to capitalize on their first two opportunities of the game, scoring in the 10th and 11th minutes of the contest. Wesleyan continued to put up shots, but couldn't find a way to score, eventually falling 7-0.
The Panthers offense is on the verge of clicking, as they put up a season high 14 shots in the contest, forcing the Cedarville goalkeeper to make three saves. Seniors
Bree Owen and
Chloe Hinchcliffe combined for seven shots to lead the way for the Panthers.Â
The Panthers next game will take place on Saturday, September 30th, when they host the Walsh Cavaliers. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. CT.Â
