OWENSBORO, KY - Facing the No. 2 team in the G-MAC, the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers fell 6-2 and 9-1 to the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans.
TNU improves to 26-10 (8-2 G-MAC), while Wesleyan falls to 9-34 (0-14 G-MAC).
Wesleyan struggled to score on the day, only registering three runs on 13 total hits. Leading the way on the day was freshman phenom
Megan Matheis, who went 5-for-7 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored.
Guinny Garr went 2-for-3 with a run scored in game one, while
Shelbi Patterson went 2-for-3 with a run scored in game two.
Allie Dunn (6-18) took the loss in game one, while
Immi Mann (3-15) took the loss in game two.
Wesleyan will play just one doubleheader this weekend, when they take on the Hillsdale Chargers at Foster Field on Saturday. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. CT.
