COLUMBUS, OH - It took a perfect goal in the 28th minute for the Ohio Dominican Panthers to take down Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday. Roisin Kennedy launched a shot from 25 yards out that hit the upper left portion of the woodwork, bouncing into the back of the net for the game winning goal.
ODU moves to 4-6-4 (3-5-2 G-MAC) while Wesleyan falls to 2-11-0 (2-9-0 G-MAC).
Ohio Dominican managed to control much of the game, but the stout Wesleyan defense held them to just the long goal in the 28th minute.
Chloe Hinchcliffe led the Panthers with two shots in the game, while
Shelby Taylor managed the team's only shot-on-goal.
Kassidy Elkin made five saves in net for the Panthers.
Wesleyan will continue their weekend road trip on Saturday when they travel to Crestview Hills, Kentucky, to take on the Thomas More Saints. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. CT.
