COLUMBUS, OH - The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team competed at the Champions of Women's Golf classic this week in Columbus, Ohio. The Panthers took 15th out of 16 teams, finishing with a team score of 709 (+149).

Junior Maddie Zimmerman led the way with a 171 (+31) over the course of two rounds. Sophomore Megan Bryan finished just behind her with a 172 (+32), including a team low 83 in her opening round. Competing in her first collegiate tournament, Avery Shacklette finished with a 182 (+42), while fellow freshman Audrey Koetter came in close behind with a 186 (+46). Samantha DeSpain rounded out the scoring for the Panthers with a 188 (+48).

Becky Williams of Otterbein took medalist honors with a 149 (+9), while Northern Michigan won the team title with a 624 (+64). 

The Panthers will hit hit the road next weekend when they head to Big Rapids, Michigan for the Lady Bulldog Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24. Following that 36-hole event, Wesleyan will compete in the GVSU Lady Laker Invitational in Allendale, Michigan on Sunday and Monday.
