OWENSBORO, KY - Facing G-MAC leaders Cedarville, the Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team fell 2-0 on Thursday night.
Cedarville now moves to 13-2-1 (11-1 G-MAC) while Wesleyan falls to 3-12 (2-10 G-MAC).
The Yellow Jackets were willing to shoot from everywhere in the game, putting up 39 shots in the contest, including 17 on frame. They broke through for a goal in the 12th minute, and secured the win with another goal in the 73rd minute.
Wesleyan managed to put two shots on frame, with one coming off the foot of
Chloe Hinchcliffe, and the other coming from
Natalie Hinchcliffe. Goalie
Reegan Garrity tied her career high with 14 saves in the game.
Wesleyan makes their last road trip of the season on Saturday when they travel to Northwood to take on the Timberwolves. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT.
