CEDARVILLE, OH - Kentucky Wesleyan fell 4-0 to the Cedarville Yellow Jackets on Thursday, who currenlty sit at #1 in the G-MAC.
With the win CU moves to 11-2-1 (9-1 G-MAC) while Wesleyan falls to 3-10 (2-8 G-MAC).
Cedarville got started early, scoring on a penalty kick in the second minute of the game to set the tone. The Yellow Jackets scored two more in the next 30 minutes to go up 3-0 at halftime, then tacked on one more in the second half to take the game 4-0.
Cedarville stymied the Panther offense, limiting them to six total shots, while putting up 28 of their own.
Chloe Hinchcliffe and
Natalie Hinchcliffe each registered two shots.
Elizabeth Burns made 10 saves in the opening half, while
Reegan Garrity allowed just one goal and made three saves in the second half.
Wesleyan stays on the road this weekend when they travel to Findlay to take on the Oilers on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT.
