OWENSBORO, KY - In their first meeting as G-MAC opponents, the Ashland Eagles defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 9-1 in Owensboro.
Down two goals early in the game,
Calum Newson scored his fifth goal of the season to cut it to a one score game. Ashland then tallied off seven unanswered goals to give the game it's final score.Â

Santiago Henrich and
Zach Moore all had two shots to their names.
Jacob Russ led the Panthers with three saves.
The Panthers won't have long to get redemption as they travel to Ashland on Thursday, Oct. 14 for a rematch with the Eagles.Â
