ASHLAND, OH - Two goals in the first two minutes of the game proved to be the difference on Thursday as the Ashland Eagles bested the Panthers by a 3-1 score.
With the win the Eagles move to 4-4-3 (4-2-2 G-MAC) while the Panthers drop to 1-8 (1-7 G-MAC).
After going down 2-0, 
Max Wawrin picked up his first goal of the season in the 11th minute off an assist by 
Santiago Henrich and 
Jake Peveler. 
Wesleyan put the pressure on in the second half, but shots by Henrich and 
Maxten Miller near the end of the game were saved by Ashland's goalkeeper and Wesleyan fell 3-1. 
Henrich led the Panthers with four shots, including three on goal. Goalie 
Matthew Meyer made seven saves in the loss.
Ashland out shot the Panthers 20-8, including a 10-7 shots-on-goal advantage. Wesleyan committed 22 fouls to Ashland's 14.
KWC will head to North Canton, Ohio on Saturday to face Walsh in a much anticipated rematch. Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM CT.
