EUREKA, Mo. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's golf team continued its season on Monday and Tuesday with a 15
th place finish at the Midwest Regional. The 54-hole event consisted of 18 teams and was contested at Fox Run Golf Club, one of the toughest venues Wesleyan will play this season.
Monday started with tame conditions, but quickly into the 27-hole day the conditions became tougher. The wind kick-up to 25 miles per hour as the entire field saw their scores begin to elevate. On a firm and fast golf course Wesleyan posted an opening round of 332.
Alex Phillips posted one of the best scores of the day with an eight over par 80. He then fired a three-over par nine-hole score of 39 to finish the day to climb to 17
th overall out of 90 competitors.
Carter Dodson finished the opening round 81.

As the second round was completed Tuesday morning, the Panthers posted a round of 326 with
Collins Dodson shooting a round of seven over par 79. Phillips backed-up his opening round of 80 with another round of eight over par 80.
The Panthers did not get off to a good start in the final round and finished with a 337.
Collins Dodson played his last nine holes, making three birdies, to shoot 35 and card a round of 78. His three-round total of 243 finished in a tie for 53
rd. Phillips closed with a 246, 54-hole total to place 63
rd.
Carter Dodson carded rounds of 81-85-84 to place 73
rd.
Tyler Nickol rounded out the Panthers' top four with rounds of 85-82-89.
Playing in his first official event away from Owensboro,
Max Dubree finished with a 295 total. Playing as an individual,
Will Cornett saw his score progressively get better after opening play with a 97. Cornett carded rounds of 86 and 79 to finish the event.
The Panthers will travel to Caseyville, Illinois on Monday and Tuesday to play in the Bearcat Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event will be contested at Far Oaks Golf Course.
