OWENSBORO, KY – Behind a pair of hat-tricks the Kentucky Wesleyan College women's soccer team picked-up a 7-0 victory over crosstown rival Brescia University. The game served as Wesleyan's home-opener as
Madisyn Hunt scored three times while
Kamryn Pulliam accounted for three assists. The victory provided the Panthers a bounce back victory to even their record after a loss to McKendree four days ago.
The Panthers (1-1) controlled possession, spending nearly 75% of the match in the Bearcats (2-3) side of the field. Spacing and precision passing to start the match allowed Wesleyan to take an early lead and never look back.
Maddie Kennedy scored the first goal in the fourth minute of the match.
Hunt got into the action in the 13
th minute with her first goal off an assist from Pulliam who stole the ball in a crowd and dumped a pass over the top to Hunt in open space and in front of the Bearcats net.
Skylar Walden added a goal in four minutes later off
Maddie Kennedy's first assist of the night.

The Bearcats trailed 4-0 at the break as Pulliam scored a second time in the 22
nd minute. Wesleyan saw Hunt score two more times in the second half to extend the lead. In total the Panthers took 30 shots on the Bearcat net, 13 being on goal.
Sarah Haleman set-up the final two Wesleyan goals as she finished with two shots, one on goal, and two assists. Hunt celebrated her birthday with three goals on eights shots with one assist. Pulliam also added two goals and recorded three assists. Kenzy Melton got the start in goal for the Panthers and picked-up her first win of the season.
The Panthers will travel to Berea on Sunday to play Mountaineers. The match is scheduled to start at 3 PM CT.
