ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College wrestling team ended its season on Saturday at the NCAA Super Regional. The Panthers finished 11
th in their first trip to the post season.
All the Panthers saw their season ended in the consolation rounds.
Kairus Washington received an opening round bye before suffering a narrow 9-6 loss in the quarterfinals to Luke Diener from McKendree. Washington then fell in the third consolation round to Thor Balavage from Carson Newman.
LaMont Wilson also reached the consolation third round before exiting the event.
Andrew Parker suffered a second-round loss in the consolation bracket to Charles McNeal from McKendree.
McKendree won the team title with 135 points. Lindenwood placed second with 123.5 points.
