OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College wrestling team completed its regular season on Saturday with a senior day match with Tiffin University. The Dragons, who finished second in the Great Midwest Championship two weeks ago, returned to Owensboro as the seventh ranked team in the nations.
Tiffin validated their lofty ranking with a 56-0 victory over the Panthers.
Gavyn Uribes faced Isaac Lehman for the second week in a row in the heavyweight match. Lehman again got the better of Uribes 8-0.
Drayden McKerrow at 197 and
Nolan McKelvy put up resistance in their respective matches, but the Dragons picked-up wins.
The Panthers will have two weeks off before the NCAA Super Regional in Edmond, Oklahoma. Competition is scheduled to begin on March 1
st on the campus of Central Oklahoma.
